Apostle Laequinla S. Hunter was born to Mr. Alton Wilson and Elder Nancy K. Williams and is the oldest of three children. She is the wife of Bishop Ernest E. Hunter.
Apostle Hunter was educated in the Chesapeake Public School System and is a graduate of the Oscar Smith High School. After graduating, she went into business for herself as the owner of Hunters Boutique, and later worked as a paraprofessional within the Suffolk Public School System for four years. She also served as supervisor for the Isle of Wight summer recreation program helping at-risk youth. At age 26, the Lord blessed Apostle Hunter to leave her job with the Suffolk Public School System and pursue Ministry full time.
Apostle Hunter was called to preach at age 13 and she received her license in 1993 from Mt. Zion Community Church. She received much spiritual guidance from her aunt, the late Elder Annie P. Turner.

Through the anointing of the Holy Spirit, God prepared Apostle Hunter through many positions in her church career including such roles as Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Instructor, Youth Leader and Prayer Band member. All of these services for God helped to shape her Christian character and walk with the Lord.

Apostle Hunter served as the assistant Pastor of The Ebenezer Baptist Church in Ivor, VA, until God called her to a higher purpose. Upon adhering to the call of the Lord, she became the Pastor and Founder of Gods Anointed Touch Ministries (located in Windsor, VA). Gods Anointed Touch Ministries is also known as GAT Ministries, where the mission is to lead the people to live spirit-filled lives and compel others to come to Christ. On November 19, 2005, Pastor Hunter was affirmed by a college of Apostles and Bishops as an Apostle.

She, along with her husband Bishop Hunter, is the founder and overseer of the reformation of The Churches of the Beginning and has churches in Windsor and Newport News, VA. They have also penned the best-selling book, Ministry Shall Not Destroy My Marriage, which brings insight and awareness to Satans tactics against marriage, and expose and annihilate his plans while restoring Gods original intent for successful and harmonious marriages and ministries.

She is also affiliated with Hunters Production Music & Arts, an established production company which brings National Gospel Artists to the Virginia area. Furthermore, Apostle Hunter is the Chairperson of Community Harvest Outreach, Inc. Community Harvest offers programs and services to address the needs of populations from low-income families and communities, and presently has fed over 120,000 individuals.

In December 2007, Apostle Hunter became the Chair of the Virginia Chapter of the Institute of Black Charities (IBC), which is established to strengthen the ability of Black non-profit organizations to gain access to government funding. In addition, Apostle Hunter has been featured on The Word Network, and has been honored and received he lifeline award for her outstanding service to the community.

Apostle Hunter is a national evangelist who exhorts and encourages all to deepen their intimacy with God and arise to their divine destiny and purpose. Her favorite scripture is Ephesians 6:10-11, Finally my brethren, be strong in the lord, and the power of his might, put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
